Originally born and raised in New York, I studied at Queen’s College of the City University of New York and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Sociology. I later received my medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed my residency training at the Loyola University-Cook County Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in Chicago, Illinois. My areas of focus include preventive medicine, diabetes, obesity, and high blood pressure. I live in Laurel and in my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and close friends as well as pursuing my personal hobbies and interests which include drawing, painting, movies, and traveling.
My care philosophy is based on the belief that I treat every patient as if they are a family member or friend. Because of this, you can can depend on me to put your healthcare needs first. Medicine is a profession that is built on a sacred trust between the doctor and patient. As your doctor, I am aware that you are entrusting me with your health and you can rest assured knowing that you have someone who truly cares about you and your family’s well-being.
My goal is to care for your overall physical, mental, and social well-being of every person I see. I achieve this through an individual and family centered approach to patient care. I focus on you as a whole person and not just your symptoms. The causes of injury or disease can sometimes be simple but can also be complex and doctors need a lot time and information to diagnose and treat problems. I work to get information about you and any problem that you may have by gathering a comprehensive medical history, as well as other information. This includes, but is not limited to, your environment, family, work, and lifestyle. I also believe in using integrative approach to healthcare that combines knowledge from conventional evidence-based medicine and lifestyle medicine to achieve wellness.
